Subject: Tsunami Information Statement issued 09/20/2012 at 12:49PM AKDT

At 12:48 PM Alaska Daylight Time on September 20, an earthquake with preliminary magnitude 4.0 occurred 30 miles/48 Km northeast of Talkeetna, Alaska .

The magnitude and location are such that a tsunami WILL NOT be generated. This will be the only WCATWC message issued for this event.

The location and magnitude are based on preliminary information. Further information will be issued by the United States Geological Survey or the appropriate regional seismic network.
